There are two main types of buildings when it comes to producing Commercial Energy Performance Certificates.
Level 3 buildings can be assessed by all qualified and accredited commercial energy assessors, level 4 buildings need an assessor qualified to level 4.
Level 3 buildings & Level 4 buildings
Level 3 Buildings
These have:-
Natural ventilation
Boilers rated up to 100kW output
Cooling systems rated to 12kW
Level 4 Buildings
These have:-
Mechanical ventilation
Boilers rated greater than 100kW output
Cooling systems rated greater than 12kW
Some buildings are difficult to classify, in which case
contact us for advice.
Assessment of these buildings uses the:-
Simplified Building Energy Method or SBEM
Some complicated buildings cannot be modelled using SBEM.
